# TidyMate (formerly Everjoe Folder Organizer)

> TidyMate is a Windows 10 and 11 desktop app that organizes messy folders in seconds. Tagline: "Messy files. Sorted." It sorts files by type, date or extension, files documents by what is inside them (Smart Rules), organizes new downloads automatically (Watch Folders), unpacks nested folders, previews every move, and can undo any operation. ## What it does
- Sort a folder (e.g. Downloads, Desktop, Documents) into Images, Documents, Spreadsheets, Presentations, Music, Videos, Archives, Installers, Code, Fonts and more; or by year and month; or by file extension.
- Smart Rules: reads the text inside PDF, Word (.docx), Excel (.xlsx), PowerPoint (.pptx) and text files and files them by content. Ready-made rules: invoices, receipts, bank statements (recognises Nigerian banks such as GTBank, Zenith, Access, UBA, First Bank, Opay, Kuda, Moniepoint), screenshots, WhatsApp media, CVs, contracts, old installers, large videos. Custom rules can match words in the document or file name, age or size, and rename files to a pattern such as 2026-10-07_Invoice_118.pdf. Rules can be exported to a file and imported on other PCs. Scanned images without text cannot be read yet.
- Watch Folders (paid plans): runs in the Windows system tray, can start with Windows, and files new items as soon as they finish downloading. Unfinished downloads are never touched.
- Unpack Folders: moves every file out of sub-folders into one folder and removes the empty folders.
- Insights: shows files organized and estimated hours saved; History can be exported to CSV for Excel.
- Safety: preview before anything moves; undo any operation from History, even after a restart; never overwrites files; never touches Windows or Program Files folders, software projects, hidden or system files.
- Business features: company logo and name in the app (Business/Enterprise), multi-PC licenses, shared Smart Rules, priority support.

- Like File Juggler and File Arbor, TidyMate is rule-based and processes files locally. Unlike cloud AI organizers such as Sparkle, documents are never uploaded. Unlike DropIt, it is made for non-technical users, with preview and one-click undo. It is the only one of these priced in Naira, with support straight from the developer, and with ready-made rules for Nigerian banks.
